Got an order from a friend for cake pops!! Kind of exciting. Will be making chocolate cake/chocolate frosting with peanut butter flavored candy coating and toffee crunch topping.
I hope for deliciousness.
If I can satisfy your cake pop/cake ball needs, let me know.

I received a Williams-Sonoma gift card for Christmas, so I was poking around on the site. I have a ton of different pans for baking, so I don't need more of those. I'd like new mixing bowls that have some kind of pouring ability, but I can get those anywhere.
As I was poking around, I came across this pan. I wasn't sold on it until I started poking around some more. Google is my hero and this is what I found. They just look DELICIOUS. You can make them filled with lots of different things: fruit, meat and cheese, cinnamon buns.
I want one NOW. NOM NOM NOM. After I get the pan, I'll be sure to post!

I received a baking cookbook for Christmas, and it is fabulous. The Big Book of Baking: Your Complete Guide to Perfect Cakes and Baked Goods Every Time is fantastic. It has everything I love about a cookbook: Detailed instructions, big pictures, and deliciousness. Hundreds of pages of deliciousness.
I bought another baking cookbook a while ago, The Complete Baking Cookbook. This is the book that got me started on my baking binge. Also, hundreds of pages of deliciousness.
So now, what to do with all of this? Well, I've decided that once a week for a year, I'm going to make something new. And then I'm going to blog about it, because well, that's what I do. And yes, I am blatantly ripping off Julie & Julia.
I made strawberry shortcake on Friday, from The Big Book of Baking, and it was...unbelievably delicious. However, I failed to take pictures, so it's like it never happened. I'll have to make it again and post some pictures.
Anyway, come back next weekend for the

I can tell I've been baking too much. Purchasing a 25-pound bag of flour from Costco seems reasonable.
